Best Blogging Sites of 2016

During my time as a full time blogger I have used various platforms and from this experience I have highlighted the best blogging sites that I have come across so far..Remember these are my personal choices.

Blogging has become huge in recent years and has transformed the way people communicate and express themselves. This has created over 200 million blogs (yes I’m not joking!). There are many different platforms out there and many of them are good..but WordPress stands out by a far mile. Why? Because it simply does everything that you could possible want. This applies for both beginners and companies who use WordPress to generate new leads and convert customers.

I could mention many success stories within the Blogging world and many of them started on WordPress as there platform of choice (and its free!).

A “platform” is just a fancy name for the program, or system, that enables you to create, manage and share content online.

You can easily spend hours researching the countless blogging platforms and content management systems, reading the reviews, listing the pros and cons of each. But if you’re like most normal people, you’ll find this to be about as much fun as chewing on broken glass.

So what I’m going to do here is save you a ton of time, trouble and aggravation. Because if you’re serious about starting a blog — and you want to have it up and running as quickly, easily and inexpensively as possible — then WordPress is your solution

5 Big Reasons Why You’ll Love Using WordPress to Power Your Blog

1. The price is right

WordPress is a full-featured, open source blogging tool and content management system (CMS). It can be used to run ecommerce stores, small business websites, personal blogs and more.

But perhaps the best part about WordPress is that it is absolutely free.Free to install, free to use and free to upgrade. The only expenses associated with running a WordPress site are:

  1. Your domain name – about $10 / year (I’ll show you how to get one for free); and,
  2. Hosting costs – anywhere from $5 to $30/month on average, depending on your needs and budget.

That’s it!

Think about this: You can easily develop your own WordPress web site or blog, and keep it running for an entire year, for less than what it would cost you to fill up the gas tank on your average SUV. Amazing…

2. A name you can trust

As of February, 2014, WordPress was the platform powering more than 75 million blogs worldwide, and nearly 20% of the top 10 million websites.

Since 2003, WordPress has earned the trust of some of the biggest companies and brands in the world to power their blogs. Sony, The Wall Street Journal, Samsung, People Magazine, The New York Times, CNN, Ebay and Yahoo are just a few of the big boys using WordPress.

The way I see it… if it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for me.

3. Easy to install

You do not have to be a computer expert or WordPress wiz to start your own WordPress blog or website. In the next few pages, the tutorials here at will walk you through the steps you need to take so you can do it yourself.

But if you prefer to have a professional do it instead, either I or one of my trusty assistants can install WordPress for you. And the best part… this service is available to you for free! (Learn more about ourWordPress installation services.)

4. Easy to customize

Once you’ve got your WordPress blog up and running, it’s simple to modify the design and functionality of your site using third-party themes plug-ins. Changing the look and feel of your entire site is as easy as pushing a button. No knowledge of HTML or coding necessary.

Not only is it easy to use WordPress themes and plugins, there are thousands to choose from — many of them free. And if you’ve got the skills and you’re feeling a little adventurous, you can even create and develop your own custom themes.

5. Flexible and always being improved

WordPress is extremely flexible, and able to power any kind of site imaginable — including: ecommerce stores, multi-user group blogs, paid membership sites, personal “tumblogs,” travel blogs… From casual bloggers to Fortune 500 companies, WordPress offers a full spectrum of blogging and content management solutions. And the vibrant WordPress developer community helps ensure the system is frequently updated and improved.

As you might already know, Tumblr is also pretty big in the blogging world. It enables you to share content such as pictures, videos and content but in a much smaller way. It’s basically “micro blogging” so it’s perfect for beginners who just want a small blog with little to no content and mostly images, pictures, infographics.
